Fences and Flowers

Sometimes fences and flowers just happen upon us…

A muddle of pansy splashed pots on a busy pavement, strawberry blossom peeping shyly in a crowded market, the pop of colour in the back of a van on a city street.

Splintered paddle pop palings weathered soft grey by rain and sun, tumble down wooden posts covered in a ramble of branches, the cheeky furl of green leaf poking through a sandstone wall, painted pickets in ice cream colours, pretty iron work railings. That pot of brightness at a cafe door, a tangle of hectic pink in a cottage garden, sunshiny nasturtiums in a tin tub…

Fences and flowers just happen upon us.
